The organization holds workshops year-round about sustainable practices and specific techniques, develops direct markets, annually organizes the largest sustainable ag conference in the eastern US, and is a bold, articulate voice in both regional and national ag policy. It was started by the same people who later started Local Harvest. The organization is run by a farmer/member Board of Directors and an incredible staff. It has a very informative newsletter that is both “nuts & bolts” educational as well as visionary. I recommend PASA for your website’s list: pasafarming.org. Again, I can't thank you enough for doing this incredibly important (and entertaining!) piece, and I will spread the word far a wide. When will you be in LA/SoCal? I spoke with my daughter last night, and she is very excited about getting a date for a screening at Soka University in Aliso Viejo (near Laguna Beach). She said there is actually a Slow Food Club on campus that may be willing to host the screening. Let me know what date range would work for you for a visit down to Orange County.
